What we are Fundraising for
We are currently fundraising to improve accessibility into our building. Our building is currently inaccessible for those with mobility issues and in wheelchairs. There are 30-steps leading to the main entrance, and our most recent survey shows that many of our students struggle with the building access.
Planned works are shown in the drawing by Ian Stantiall above. These include. improved drive-on access and parking, which will give access to the main house and pottery studio via a ramp leading to a raised level walkway. To finish the project, we plan to renovate the existing west entrance and bathroom to make it wheelchair friendly, and beautify the alternative entrance through painting and landscaping.
Thanks to the generous support of the Lloyd Morrison Foundation, a charitable organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people in New Zealand, we have reached our goal for steps two and three of this ambitious six-stage project; drive on parking and the raised level walkway and ramp. We continue to fundraise for the remainder of the project and any support is appreciated.
We gratefully accept one-off and ongoing monthly donations to support our school programme via internet banking.
