Welcome to Inverlochy Art School


Inverlochy Art School offers a broad range of high quality art classes and workshops, taught by a community of enthusiastic and talented practicing artists all year round. We believe in art for art's sake and allow students to find freedom in creative exploration.  We have both exhibition and studio space for rent.  We are located within central Te Aro, Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Wellington.

Course Details

Students, tutors, friends and artists of Inverlochy Art School are all invited to submit work for this year’s Fundraiser Exhibition taking place at Inverlochy Art School between 1-13 December 2024 with an open day on Sunday 1 December between 10am- 4pm. 

The exhibition is not themed welcoming all types, genres & styles and will showcase the incredible range of artistic practices supported by our school. All funds raised will directly contribute to the running and maintenance of our community art school. 

Each artist can contribute up to two pieces. Pottery students can submit one piece for $10 and up to five pieces for a total of $20. 

All selected works will be displayed for the exhibition season unless the buyers are visitors to Wellington and specifically request early collection of the work. All exhibited works will be eligible for the People’s Choice award.   

 

Important dates to follow:

  • 28 November 2024 - Last day for entry. Completed entry form emailed to [email protected]
  • 25-28 November 2024 - Delivery of work with swing tags attached
  • 1 December 2024 - Exhibition open day between 10am-4pm
  • 1-13 December 2024 - Exhibition dates
  • 16-20 December 2024 - Pick up unsold works between 10am -4pm

All elements of the submitted works must be the artist’s own work.  All submitted works are subject to the entry fee of $10. If you’re sending work by courier, ensure payment is made prior to delivery. Insurance is your responsibility, including in transit.
