In the Garden (Summer to Autumn)
In the Garden (Summer to Autumn) presents a collection of paintings by Inverlochy Art School students, made in response to experiences of the transition between Summer and Autumn.
From the bright intensity and profusion of Summer to the rich gatherings of the Autumn harvest, these works observe an intimate exploration into the beauty, colour and light these months give us.
In Terms I & II artists focussed on the concepts of colour, space and the immaterial. Inspired by the spontaneity and vibrancy of Star Gossage's garden paintings and the husband and wife team, Emily Mason and Wolf Khan with their opposite approaches to painting, yet both focusing on the subtleties and intensities in response to nature.
