Passing By presents a solo exhibition of paintings by Pōneke artist, Peter Jones.
Everything is a self portrait.
The places we go to, the views we choose to appreciate, the memories we commit and the sotires we regale. All of our choices, even those seemingly small, define who we are and how we think. The fading light of a sunset giving way to the sodium yellow hue of a city, The pour of fresh coffee on a Sunday morning. The start of an unread book. All of these moments can pass us by unless we stop to appreciate the moment and its meaning to us.
This series of oil paintings is a collection of artist's experiences since moving to Aotearoa.
